Congratulations to the 13 students in the Math Club on achieving Gold Level Status in the MATHCOUNTS Club Program! Out of 176 schools in Maryland that registered for the Club Program in September/October 2011, Mount Calvary is the only school in Prince George's County to attain Silver and Gold Level status! The only other Catholic school in Maryland to attain Gold Level Status is Bishop Walsh in Cumberland, Maryland.
Mount Calvary will receive a trophy and banner recognizing this achievement and certificates to recognize the students' achievements. The club has also been entered into the drawing for $500 gift cards and a chance to go to Orlando, Florida, to watch the 2012 National MATHCOUNTS Competition. |

The Junior Daughters of the Knights of Peter Claver are collecting "good quality pillow cases" to make dresses for Girls Around the World, a non-profit organization that relies on volunteers to collect and make dresses to distribute to girls in poverty. Pillow cases can be left in the box in the church. |

The next Market Day pick-up is Saturday, May 19 at 10:00 am. Don't forget to pick up an order form in the back of the church and place your order before the due date. This is a major fundraiser for the school and a great way for you to do your grocery shopping so you can cook some delicious meals for your family. There are some very good buys. Don't miss them!!! |
