Information: Mrs. Tomko is the principal of Mount Calvary Catholic School. She has worked in the Archdiocese of Washington since 1988 - 11 years as a teacher and the last 12 years as a principal. Born and raised in Johnstown, PA, she is the product of 12 years of Catholic schooling, having attended St. Benedict's Catholic School and Bishop McCort High School. Mrs. Tomko earned her Bachelor of Science degree in elementary education/early child education from Slippery Rock University. Her graduate studies for a Master's in Education began at Indiana University of Pennsylvania. She also holds a Master of Science in Administration from Trinity College in Washington, DC and she has an Administrator's Certification from the Maryland State Department of education. Mrs. Tomko has been invited to speak at National Conventions for NCEA on Inclusive Education and she has served on Accreditation Visiting Teams for the Middle States Association of Schools and Colleges. She is actively involved in committee work for the Archdiocese of Washington Catholic Schools Office and currently serves as the Treasurer of the Elementary School Principals Association. She treasures spending time with her husband Robert, daughter Melissa, son Matthew, son-in-law Jeremy, and new baby grandson Gavin.
