The School Advisory Board is based on a belief in the importance and power of shared leadership. Parents, faculty, administration and the entire community work together to set direction and determine policy in accordance with the mission of Mount Calvary Catholic School and the policies of the Archdiocesan Board of Education.

The purpose of the Mount Calvary School Advisory Board is to provide advice and assistance to the school's administrative team in the governance of the school. "Advisory" means that board members offer their experience and expertise to strengthen the decision making process. The Board fulfills its purpose and exercises its functions in accordance with the mission and goals of the parish and with the goals, policies, and regulations of the Archdiocese of Washington. Membership on the School Advisory Board is by appointment of the Pastor.

 
Home and School Assocation PDF Print E-mail

Mount Calvary's Home and School Association is a parent organization that supports and enhances the educational ministry of the school. All parents, faculty and staff are members. General meetings provide opportunities for parents to hear speakers on pertinent  issues and to take part in business and community-related activities. All parents are required to attend General Meetings.

A strong emphasis is placed on promoting service, volunteerism and fundraising activities. Active participation of all members is required through support of activities and attendance at meetings.

All adults who have substantial contact with children and who volunteer in the school or for approved school and parish sponsored activities must comply with the Child Protection Policy of the Archdiocese of Washington.

The Executive Committee of the HSA exists to help set direction for and facilitate activities and events.
